This Friday is our first early release day.  Students will be dismissed from school at 1pm!

Have a plan for your student that day.

All School Colorado Opera Tour

Kara, Melody, Tom and Steve are excited to invite students Kindergarten through
Walkabout to join them in a Backstage Workshop at the Colorado Opera. This workshop is one of Colorado Opera’s most popular events, so don’t miss it!

November 8th from 9:00 am until 1:30 or so.

The cost is $11.00. Spaces are limited, so students will be signed up on a
first come, first serve basis.  Money is due October 18th. We will be taking a bus to the DCPA and then eating our lunch there, so students will need a sack lunch the day of the tour.

Bring your money to Melody or Kara to reserve a spot.

Thank you,
The JCOS Music Department

Bee hive for Bee Club!

Hi folks.  I have just gotten word that the bee supply store To Bee or Not To Bee is donating a hive to our JCOS Bee Club.  Please let me know if you would like to put you name in a hat to be a host home.  You would provide a space for the bee hive, and learn all about what it takes to "keep" bees.

Hi all!  I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend.  We will spend time this week reflecting on our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.  We will write thank you notes, reflect on our goals, and write a small moment piece about our trip.  Stay tuned for pictures from the trip.

This week we have a few important events to note.  Tomorrow is our individual Picture Day.  Order forms will go home today.

Friday is our IA Morse Park picnic.  We will walk to Morse Park for a day of fun with friends and classmates.  Students will need a water bottle, a sack lunch, sunscreen and good walking shoes. Parents are welcome to join us.

This Friday is also our Garden Concert from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in our school garden.    There is music by Ryan Chrys and Bradley Weaver.  Adults are $10 and kids are $5, which includes pizza and water.
